Xiaomi Mi AI Speaker Official: Voice assistant and 360-degree sound

Xiaomi today, along with the MIUI 9 ROM and Mi 5X smartphone, the company also introduced the new Mi AI speaker with voice assistant. The Xiaomi Mi AI Speaker price has been set at CNY 299 – approximately $44 / Rs. 2850 and it will come in White color only. The Speaker will be first available for beta testing in August in China.

New MI AI speaker offers 360-degree surround sound, thanks to 6 omnidirectional microphone array that senses external noise to cancel out echo. It has vertical, rectangular shaped design and on the top you get controls for music playback and a blue LED notification band around the edge.

The speaker is promising excellent sound quality and there will be a massive online content, online music, fiction comic, children’s stories, radio stations that will be activated by your voice. There is also additional add-ons and plugins for the Mi AI Speaker can be downloaded via a companion app.

According to the company, the AI on the speaker can help you with your day-to-day activities and it also lets you help your kids learn math, translate, can recite ancient poetry, sound of animals, learn things from encyclopedia and more.

It can also be used to control other smart devices at your house such as turn on light, adjust the air conditioning temperature, open curtains, turn on the water heater and more. The AI trainer app comes with the AI training program that lets you help to create your training and set questions and answers. There is also has a developer platform so it will get more skills in the future.
