Xiaomi Mi A1 With Android One with Dual Camera Setup Announced

Xiaomi today announced a new Android One smartphone during a press event in India. This is the Xiaomi Mi A1 is featuring the dual rear camera setup into a full metal body. This is a first Android One smartphone from the company which crafted in partnership with Google running stock Android based on Android 7.1 Nougat and it will get Android 8.0 Oreo update by 2017.

Android One smartphones typically feature low-end models, conceived for emerging markets, but the Xiaomi Mi A1 features mid-range specs, starting with the above-mentioned dual rear camera system.

Xiaomi Mi A1 Price in India and Availability

Xiaomi Mi A1 price in India is set to Rs. 14,999 and it is available in Black, Gold and Rose Gold color variants. The device will go on sale from September 12 in India and will be available exclusively from Flipkart and Mi.com online stores as well as Mi Home offline stores.

Xiaomi Mi A1 Specifications

Xiaomi Mi A1 features a 5.5-inch LTPS display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution, 450nit brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio and 2.5D curved glass layer on top of it. It is powered by a 2.0 GHz octa-core processor which supported by 64-bit Snapdragon 625 14nm chipset paired with Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB of RAM. It packs a 64GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 128GB. It has anti-fingerprint coating offering a smooth finish and is just 7.3mm thick. There is a fingerprint sensor on the back.

For optics, the Mi A1 flaunts 12-megapixel dual rear camera sensors with one is wide-angle lens with 1.25μm pixel size, f/2.2 aperture and second is telephoto lens with 1.0 μm pixel size, f/2.6 aperture, PDAF and dual-tone LED flash. It has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with real-time beautification to create more stunning self-portraits.

The Xiaomi Mi A1, as we mentioned, runs on Android One stock OS based on Android 7.1.2 Nougat out of the box. It packs a 3080mAhmAh battery and also sports a high-quality audio with DHS Audio Calibration Algorithm and a standalone audio amplifier for improved quality via headphones. It supports dual SIM slot with dual standby, For connectivity includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, USB-C, and 3.5 mm audio jack options.
