Xiaomi Mi 9 was launched in China back in February this year, and its US pre-bookings have now begun. The smartphone is up for pre-booking via the Bhphotovideo site right now. Xiaomi Mi 9 runs Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 10 on top and features a 6.39-inch FHD+ Samsung AMOLED display along with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection, waterdrop-style notch, and 600 nits of brightness. The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, coupled with Adreno 640 GPU and 6GB and 8GB LPDDR4X RAM options.
On the optics front, the Xiaomi Mi 9 has a triple rear camera setup that houses a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor with 1.0-micron pixel size and an f/2.2 lens. The primary sensor also supports four-in-one pixel (12-megapixel effective pixels). There is also a 16-megapixel Sony IMX481 secondary sensor along with a combination of an ultra-wide and macro lens having an f/2.2 lens and a field-of-view (FoV) of 117 degrees. The phone also has a 12-megapixel tertiary sensor along with an f/2.2 telephoto lens. For selfies, there is a 20-megapixel selfie camera at the front.
The Xiaomi Mi 9 has 128GB of UFS2.1+ storage. Connectivity options on the Mi 9 include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, IR blaster, and a USB Type-C port. Besides, the Mi 9 packs a 3,300mAh battery that supports 20W wireless charging alongside 27W wired fast charging support, and the handset has a 7.61mm of thickness.
