After leaked in Press renders, and videos along with the specifications, Xiaomi CC9 has been officially launched in China. It is mid-budget device comes with a 6.39-inch waterdrop notch display, up to 8GB RAM, Triple Rear Cameras and In-display fingerprint sensor.
Xiaomi CC9 Price and Availability
The Xiaomi CC9 price in China starts from CNY 1,799 – approximately $261 for the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage version and the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version costs CNY 1,999 – approximately $290. The Mi CC9 Meitu Edition with 8GB RAM with 256GB storage is priced at CNY 2,599 – approximately $378 and both devices will be available in China from July 5, 2019. The device comes in White Lover, Blue Planet and Dark Prince color options.
Xiaomi CC9 Specifications
The Xiaomi CC9 features a 6.39-inch Waterdrop notch AMOLED display with FHD+ (1080 x 2280 pixels) resolution, 103.8% NTSC color gamut, 91% screen-to-body ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core processor which supported by Snapdragon 710 10nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 616 GPU and 6GB LPDDR4x RAM with 64GB / 128GB (UFS 2.1) storage / 8GB RAM with 256GB storage (Meitu Edition), expandable memory up to 256GB with microSD.
On the camera front, the CC9 bears a Triple rear camera setup: 48-megapixel 1/2.0″ Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.79 aperture, 0.8μm pixel size, LED flash, EIS, an 8-megapixel 118° ultra-wide angle lens with 1.12μm pixel size, f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with 1.75μm pixel size, f/2.4 aperture. For selfie, there is a 32-megapixel front-facing camera from Samsung with f/2.0 aperture that merges four pixels to form large 1.6μm pixels for better low-light images and AI beautify mode.
The Xiaomi CC9 has a White Lover back cover which resembles light glistening on the surface of the snow, refracting holographic colors in various angles. Blue Planet option has a unique “CC” pattern, which is enabled by an even more complex nano-technology manufacturing process, causing the phone’s surface to resemble moonlight shimmering on the ocean. The device also adopts a vertical logo and has a multi-color LED light on its back cover. In addition to acting as a notification LED, the hue light also supports unique light effects for games and can also pulse along to your favorite music.
The Xiaomi CC9 has a seventh gen in-display fingerprint scanner and runs on Android 9.0 Pie -based on MIUI 10 out of the box. It packs a 4030mAh battery with QC 4.0 charging, 18W fast charger and for connectivity includes Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, NFC USB Type-C. The device measures 156.8×74.5×8.67mm and weigh 179 grams.
Xiaomi has also introduced Mi CC9 Meitu Edition with gradient color, reminiscent of the famous beaches of the Bahamas. It has similar specifications as the CC9 but comes with highly-customized UI theme and ringtone that vibes with its holographic back cover. It also has Meitu camera features and video editing capabilities, unique AI low-light portrait feature for high-quality portraits in almost zero ambient light using Meitu’s single frame depth acquisition technology to accommodate a wide variety of scenes. It also has a superior AI Beautify feature that supports zero-level microdermabrasion for a more natural looking photo.
