Xiaomi is one of the companies included in the Android P Beta program announced by Google at the I/O 2018 event held yesterday. Unlike what has happened until now, the availability of firmware for developers is no longer limited to the range of Pixel or Nexus devices, thus embracing various manufacturers including Nokia (Nokia 7 Plus), Sony and precisely Xiaomi.
Through a post on its official website, the Chinese company wanted to reiterate its position by confirming the ability to exploit and immediately try out all the innovations included in Android P beta in one of the most recent smartphones – Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S.
“Xiaomi today announced its participation in the Android P Developer Preview program. This provides developers and early adopters a chance to experience the latest Android release on Mi MIX 2S, allowing them to try out the latest features, and test apps they have developed, ensuring that they work on the upcoming Android P.”
To try out the preview of Android P on Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S, explains by the same Chinese company, just go to this address to download the software and follow the full instructions.
Of course, The firmware cannot be considered as definitive and therefore some features may not work properly or even be absent. Therefore, it is advisable to backup your personal data before proceeding with the installation.
