The well-known manufacturer of cine camera accessories – the Wooden Camera has announced a complete set of accessories for the new RED Komodo movie camera. All accessories are officially approved by RED, and Kits are currently available for pre-order on the Bhphotovideo.com store with an expected delivery date in early August 2020.
So, these are three sets of accessories that were introduced: Base, Advanced, and Pro. All three sets include a 15mm LWS Baseplate and Complete Top Mount Kit – a platform for installation on the top of the camera.
The upper mount has a central clamping slot (in the ARCA style), as well as 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 threaded holes for attaching various accessories.
The Complete Top Mount Kit includes: Top Handle, Monitor Hinge, and Top Plate.
Each ARCA Swiss accessory is available for sale as a Top Mount kit or separately. To mount each ARCA Swiss accessory to the camera, a top mount is required. This gives users the ability to mix and match accessories to meet their individual needs.
In addition, Wooden Camera offers to purchase an adapter specially developed for RED Komodo from the Canon RF mount (installed by default) to the PL Mount Pro. With it, the operator gets the opportunity to work with high-quality film optics.
A special accessory called the B-Box attaches to the BP-9 battery socket to the right of the camera and provides additional connectors.
Also, Wooden Camera worked on the possibility of connecting Slide Pro V-Mount or Gold Mount batteries to RED Komodo.

At the same time, there is no official release date for the RED Komodo movie camera yet. However, its main specifications are already known. In particular, the camera received 4K ProRes records and will cost $6,000.
