Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus with CyanogenOS 13.1, 16MP camera and 3GB RAM Announced

Wileyfox, a new smartphone brand based in the UK has introduced Swift 2 Plus, priced at £181 – approximately $221 USD. It is an upgrade to Wileyfox Swift that was launched back in August this year in USA for a price of $203 USD. There is no information known yet of its availability.

The Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus smartphone runs on CyanogenOS 13.1 based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, a version higher than what its predecessor Swift runs on. The 4G LTE-enabled handset has dual-SIM slots with dual standby.

The Swift 2 Plus has a 5.0-inch On-Cell display with HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution that can rated to deliver a pixel density of 294ppi. The screen has also forgone the 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top of it. It is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core processor that’s fueled by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset, coupled with Adreno 450 GPU. It has massive 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of built-in storage, which is expandable via microSD card up to 64GB.

Talking about the optics, this Wileyfox Smartphone has a 16-megapixel rear autofocus camera with PDAF, phase detection, 5P lenses, f/2.2 aperture, dual LED flash, and also able to record FHD (1080p) video at 30fps. There is an 8-megapixel fixed focus front camera to capture stunning selfie and video calling. 

New Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus phone has all metal uni-body, 8.6 mm thick housing, and available in two Gray and Gold color options. On the back side, it has a fingerprint sensor below the camera cluster, which can be used to unlock the device quickly as well as to access individual applications or payment via NFC.

The connectivity options in this Wileyfox Phone, apart from 4G LTE, include 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11b / g / n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.1LE + EDR + HSP, A2DP, NFC-enabled Mifare Classic, 3.5mm headphone jack CTIA, USB Type-C 2.0, and FM radio. The Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus packs a 2700mAh battery with fast charging technology can charged up to 25 percent juice in 10 minutes and fully charged in around 100 minutes. The smartphone measures 143.7 x 71.9 x 8.6 mm and weighs 155 grams.
