Western Digital launches a new portable storage system under its G-Speed Shuttle brand, primarily aimed at professionals who need a portable solution that combines high performance with capacity.
The G-Speed Shuttle is equipped with a dual interface Thunderbolt 3 and consists of 4 bay, all for a maximum capacity of 48TB. The system mounts 7200RPM enterprise hard disk drives that can be configured in RAID 0,1,5 and 10. The speed reaches up to 1000 MB/s, representing a valid option for those who work seriously with high-resolution video and image management.
The Western Digital G-Speed Shuttle with Thunderbolt 3 has a compact design and allows a good portability, with the possibility of a second option characterized by the use of bays with ev Series adapters that provide better flexibility and added functionality thanks to compatibility with drives and EV series readers. In this case, the maximum capacity falls to 24TB with a transfer rate of 500MB/s.
