The Vivo NEX has been officially launched in China. It is a new flagship device in the company’s high-end NEX smartphone series, which features a dual display: a 6.39-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED and a secondary 5.49-inch FHD display on the back. The device also packs 10GB of RAM, Dual Cameras, and Snapdragon 845 processor.

The Vivo NEX price in China has been set at CNY 4,998 – approximately $724 and is now available for pre-order and will go on sale in China from December 29, 2018. The handset comes in Ice Blue and Star Purple color options.

As mentioned above, the main highlight of the Vivo NEX is its 6.39-inch Full HD+ (2340×1080 pixels) Super AMOLED screen with 91.63% screen-to-body ratio, DCI-P3 color gamut, 19:5:9 aspect ratio and a secondary display on the back with 5.49-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution. It is powered by a 2.8 GHz octa-core processor which supported by Snapdragon 845 64-bit 10nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 630 GPU and 10GB of RAM. It packs a 128GB of inbuilt storage.
On the camera front, the NEX has a 12-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX363 sensor, 4-axis OIS, f/1.79 aperture along with a 2-megapixel secondary night vision camera with 2.9μm pixel size, as well as additional TOF 3D Sensing camera for high-precision 3D depth information using 300,000 infrared points. The 3D TOF camera can be used for face lock, for enhanced facial recognition, personalized beautification as well as payments. There is 16 RGB lights at 24.6mm diameter arranged circularly that can be used as a notification LED or when capturing selfies
The Vivo NEX has an in-display fingerprint sensor which promises 17% better unlocking compared to the predecessor at just 0.29 seconds. The handset runs on Android 9.0 Pie -based on Funtouch OS 4.5 out of the box. It packs a 3500mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging. For connectivity includes Dual SIM 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac 2×2 MIMO, GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5 LE, and USB C. The device measures 157.19×75.3×8.09mmm and weighs 199.2 grams.
