Viltrox AF 33mm F1.4 XF Prime Lens for Fujifilm X: Pre-Order Begins

As expected, Viltrox announced the start of accepting pre-orders for the AF 33mm F1.4 XF prime lens. This is an APS-C sensor format lens with autofocus function that is offered in various mounts including Fujifilm X, Canon EF-M, and Sony E mounts.

The Prime normal-length lens is designed for APS-C-format FUJIFILM X-mount mirrorless cameras and provides a 50mm equivalent focal length. Due to its physical design, this Viltrox lens is not suitable for use on the Fuji X-Pro3 camera and may scratch the camera body if attached, according to Viltrox.

The optical design of a lens with a 33mm focal length and a maximum aperture of f/1.4 has 10 elements in 9 groups, including an element with ultra-low dispersion (ED) and an element with a high refractive index. A quiet and smooth STM stepping motor enables quick, quiet, and precise autofocus performance along with full-time manual focus override.

Aperture covered by f/16, formed by Nine-blade diaphragm and minimum focusing distance is 0.4m. The manufacturer does not give the dimensions of the product, limiting itself to indicating that the lens is compatible with 52 mm diameter filters, and the weight of the lens is 270 grams.
