ViewSonic VP2771 Monitor with 2K, USB Type-C Launched

USB Type-C is quite popular these days, what with its current presence on a handful of notebooks, laptops and smartphones. ViewSonic thinks it has seen the future, and it’s betting on it with a USB Type-C upgrade to its portable monitor displays called – ViewSonic VP2771 has been announced for $697 USD. 

The ViewSonic VP2771 is a 27-inch portable display with WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution to boot, and IPS panel which should definitely help with improving color accuracy, and wide 178-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles with an aspect ratio of 16:9.

The VP2771 has a wall-mountable sleek frameless design with tilt, swivel, and height adjustments, and Daisy Chain with DisplayPort slot. Additionally, an anti-glare display with (3H) hard-coating, a response time of 5ms, a brightness of 350cd/m2, and a contrast ratio of 1000:1.

Some of the other features on this new ViewSonic monitor include a Kensington lock, and a 3.5mm jack for audio. Asus asserts that the 14-bit sRGB panel on the VP2771 monitor provides better image quality and color accuracy. There is a built-in KVM switch functionallity that allows you to easily switch between a single set of peripheral devices, thus cutting down on clutter and the need for multiple keyboards, mice, etc. 

The company says an integrated color uniformity function ensures consistent chromaticity across the screen, while a 14-bit 3D look-up table generates a stunningly smooth palette of 4.39 trillion colors. Add to that 6-axis color adjustment functionality, and this monitor provides the ultimate color processing capability for professional applications.
