UMi Super & UMi MAX massive OTAs released!

Brand new camera app installed! UMi is on fire! The Umi Phone Company just released the UMi Plus and announced a few days ago the UMi Plus Extreme, but they didn’t forget their current products.  

Today news is that UMi pushed out two OTAs for UMi Super phone and UMi Max, and from the dimensions (around 300mb) and the changelogs, they appear to be important ones!

Let’s see what the changelogs report:

UMi Super V3.02_20160923 firmware

UMi Max V1.01_20160923 firmware

– New, advanced stock camera app with Pro mode

– New touch screen driver
– Improved fingerprint sensor performance
– Other minor bug fixes

It appears that Umi Cell Phones firm has worked hard to improve the two products, working especially on camera, touchscreen and the fingerprint sensor. 

In particular, camera app has been totally revolutionized, old mediatek stock cam has been replaced with an up to date and feature-packed camera app, which also features the new manual controls implemented in the freshly released UMi Plus.

This new manual mode is called “Pro-Photo”, you can adjust manually most parameters to obtain customized shoots, giving way more flexibility in every situation compared to the automatic mode. It’s possible to manually regulate photosensitivity (iso), the Exposure Value (ev), Saturation, Contrast, Brightness, the focal point and the white balance, some really good news for photography hobbyists!

Don’t forget that UMi Super, UMi Max and the UMi Plus will be updated to Android 7.0 Nougat in December, so more optimizations and new functions ahead!
