Transcend launches 820 CFexpress Type B Memory cards

Transcend has released new CFexpress Type B memory cards named Transcend CFexpress 820 Type B offer transfer speeds of 1700MB/s and storage capacity of up to 512GB. These memory cards are also backward-compatible with select XQD cameras and camcorders that feature firmware enabling CFexpress.

New Transcend CFexpress 820 Type B memory cards are designed for professional photographers using DSLR and advanced camcorders, as well as best suitable for capturing outdoor sports, wildlife, and action shots.

Features read/write speeds of up to 1700MB/s and 1300MB/s respectively, so you can enjoy smooth 4K video capture, offering professional photographers, videographers, and content creators impressive transfer speed and reliability without dropping frames.

New CFexpress memory cards can operate in temperatures ranging from -10°C (14°F) to 70°C (158°F). Transcend offers exclusive RecoveRx software, a free data recovery utility that allows you to search easily within a storage device for deleted digital files including photos, documents, music, and videos.

Price and availability

Transcend CFexpress 820 Type B price starts from $299 for the 256GB storage, and a 512GB storage variant will cost $449, are now available to pre-order through the Bhphotovideo.com online store.

Sony has also introduced the 80GB and 160GB CFexpress Type A memory cards in its TOUGH series. These cards provide high-speed data transfer, as well as the reliability of information storage and are designed for professional use for both photo and video shooting.
