Toshiba unveils 65-inch 8K TV with Dolby Vision at IFA 2018

Toshiba introduced 8K TV at IFA 2018. The Japanese brand has aligned itself with what looks like a real trend for the Berlin fair. The LCD panel with 65-inches with 7680 x 4320 pixels. The Full LED backlight with local dimming (at the moment we do not know the number related to the control areas).

The video processor has been specially developed to ensure an effective upscaling from SD, Full HD, and Ultra HD to 8K, a task that is certainly demanding that requires specific programming. The design is characterized by a low base placed in the middle and an extremely thin frame. The high dynamic range is supported by the HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision formats. Toshiba declares 99% DCI-P3 color space coverage.
