Tokina atx-i 11-20mm F2.8 CF for Canon EF and Nikon F: Pre-Order Started

Tokina introduced the atx-i 11-20mm F2.8 CF Lens last week is now available to pre-order. The wide-angle lens is designed for Canon EF and Nikon F mount APS-C SLR cameras. Tokina atx-i 11-20mm F2.8 CF is the new version of the existing atx-i 11-20mm F2.8 PRO DX lens.

The update affected the appearance of the lens and the water-repellent coating on top. According to the manufacturer, the updated lens used a new water-repellent anti-reflective multilayer coating. It suppresses flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color accuracy when working in strong lighting conditions. The manufacturer also insists that the new coating makes wiping and cleaning the surface of the front glass element easier.

In addition to everything, the new Tokina Canon EF lenses provide a 17.6-32mm equivalent focal length range. And for the Nikon F, it provides a 16.6-30mm equivalent focal length range, has a Silent-Drive focusing Motor (SD-M) in combination with a special GMR sensor, which its predecessor did not have.
