Sony introduced the new GP-VPT2BT shooting grip. Thanks to Bluetooth support, no connecting cables are required to transmit the signal from the grip to the camera. The Sony shooting grip is designed to provide optimum stability and ease of use, regardless of whether it is used with a compact or mirrorless camera with interchangeable lenses.
If you use a grip with a compatible device up to 1.5 kg, then you can use the remote control buttons to control photo and video shooting without changing the position of the hands on the grip and without touching the camera. If you assign C1 a function, then to start it, just press the C1 button on the grip.
Thanks to the ability to quickly adjust the tilt, you can easily set the camera in an ideal position and shoot various objects from a wide variety of angles. Regardless of whether you are shooting yourself or another object, you will certainly be able to get excellent materials without becoming in an uncomfortable position.
In addition, due to the special design, the Sony shooting grip does not allow dust and moisture to pass through, due to the absence of cables, the covers of the camera connectors can remain closed for maximum protection.
Having expanded the built-in support of the grip, you can turn it into a convenient stable tripod for recording video blogs. It will work with the Sony cameras like a9 II, a9, a7R IV, a7R III, a7 III, a6600, a6400, a6100, and RX100 VII.
Sony GP-VPT2BT has dimensions 49.5 x 173.0 x 42.0 mm and weighs 215 g. Tilt angle [grip]: up – 80°, down – 90°; [tripod]: up – 40°, down – 90°.
