Synology SA3200D Storage System With Dual Controller Design

Synology launches SA3200D Enterprise Storage. The new model of the Synology SA family of a scalable and high-performance storage system is equipped with two storage controllers and is designed for key enterprise services.

The active-passive architecture used in the SA3200D and support for hot-swappable drives improve reliability and ensure continuous data availability through hardware redundancy. The shared storage design and up to 500 TB1 scalable architecture reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO).

Each controller, built on an Intel Xeon D-1521 quad-core processor and equipped with 8GB of RAM, has an integrated 10GbE port and two GbE ports with backup and aggregation support. In addition, you can install a network card with higher bandwidth in the PCIe Gen3 x8 slot. The SATA DOM module of the controller allows you to isolate the operating system files from user data.

The Synology SA3200D also features ease of deployment, protection for virtual machines, SaaS and endpoints, data loss prevention through snapshots and replication.

The storage has 12 drive bays with a SAS interface. It is possible to connect one or two RXD1219sas expansion modules, due to which the total number of drives can reach 36.
