Surface Pro X Pre-Order Begins via B&H Store, Release Date Set for November 5

The Microsoft last week unveiled the Surface Pro 7 (Pre-order details) and Surface Pro X models, so along with the Surface Pro 7, the Microsoft Surface Pro X is also now available to pre-order via B&H store. The new Pro X is the first ARM-based Surface from Microsoft since the Surface 2. It packs SQ1 processor, an integrated AI accelerator, LTE support, USB-C, and fast charging to the boot.

Microsoft Surface Pro X is priced starting at $999 for the Microsoft SQ1 CPU, 8GB RAM + 128GB SSD model and it is now available for pre-order via Bhphotovideo.com and will start shipping from November 5th, 2019.

Features and Specifications

The new Surface Pro X is a 2-in-1 device sporting a 13-inch edge-to-edge PixelSense Display with a resolution of 2880 x 1920 pixels, 33% thinner bezels along with 10-point multitouch. It is powered by the new Microsoft SQ1 processor codesigned with Qualcomm, Adreno 685 iGPU, 8GB/16GB LPDDR4x RAM, and 128/256/512GB SSD.

It comes with the Surface Pen that has 4,096 levels of pressure, Tilt sensing, and 0.1mm precision. The keyboard includes pen docking for secure storage and charging for the new Slim Pen. On the camera front, the new Surface ProX bears a 10-megapixel main rear camera with AF, support for 1080p FHD/4K video recording and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with support for 1080p FHD video recording.

The connectivity options include Wi-Fi 5 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, Qualcomm Snapdragon X24 LTE modem, up to Gigabit LTE Advanced Pro5 with nanoSIM and eSIM support, assisted GPS, GLONASS. It packs a 2W stereo speakers with Dolby Audio Premium; Dual far-field Studio Mics. For the sensor, includes Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, and Magnetometer. The battery life on the Pro X is claimed to be up to 13 hours. It measures 287 mm x 208 mm x 7.3 mm, and weighs 774 grams.
