SteelSeries has officially launched Arctis 1 Wireless, a lightweight gaming headset that uses the 2.4GHz wireless connection for Nintendo Switch gaming consoles. SteelSeries Arctis 1 Wireless headset is a wireless version of the original Arctis 1 wired gaming headset, includes a USB Type-C transmitter, just plugged into the Switch, you can experience wireless audio, no delay, completely different from conventional Bluetooth connectivity.
This new SteelSeries headset is also compatible with all other platforms: PCs (Windows and macOS), Android phones, PS4, Xbox, to the future Google Stadia. According to some initial reviews from The Verge, it is not very compatible with Samsung Android phones. Connectivity is also a concern because operating in the 2.4GHz band, it works best in a range of about 1-3m, not really suitable for plugging in a receiver and listening to music from a phone, but in return the extremely low latency and almost equivalent to plugged earphones.
