New Sony Xperia devices are still at the center of rumors. After the Xperia XZ2 Compact prototype along with the Xperia XZ2 report has been published by Swedroid.de, the most important Android blog operating in Scandinavia.
The source has provided information on the technical specifications of both the devices. Specifically, the Sony Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact both will have HDR displays and 18:9 aspect ratio, fingerprint sensor placed at the back and will have no 3.5 mm audio jack.
Sony Xperia XZ2 will be equipped with a 5.7-inch display protected by Gorilla Glass 5, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It also refers to a special music function that takes advantage of the vibration of the smartphone, but the details on this feature are quite less at the moment.
However, Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact will integrate a 5.0-inch display with FHD+ resolution and also protected by Gorilla Glass 5. It is also Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC and similar RAM and storage as XZ2.
Prices for the Swedish market would be SEK 7990 – approximately $987 for the Xperia XZ2 and SEK 5990 – approximately $740 for the Xperia XZ2 Compact. According to the source, the shipping will start on March 6, 2018. Information yet to be confirmed officially, but indications in this sense could come in a few days at the Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona.
