Sony Xperia X Compact Gets Another Price Cut in USA

Sony on Tuesday announced another price cut for its the Xperia X Compact smartphone. To recall, the smartphone was first launched in September this year at $499.99. The Sony Xperia X Compact is one of the popular members in the company’s Xperia X lineup. The Xperia X Compact Mist Blue model is now available at the Amazon online store with the new price tag of $299.99, down from the $349.99 previous price. While the While and Black color variants sold at the same price tag.

Coming to specs, the Sony Xperia X Compact features a 4.6-inch IPS LCD display with HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution that can convey a pixel density of 319ppi. It has Triluminos display, which is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.

The handset is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 (8956) Hexa-core processor clocked at 1.8 GHz. It is accompanied Adreno 510 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage which can be further expanded via microSD card up to 256GB.

Optics features of the Xperia X Compact, the device bears a 23-megapixel autofocus rear camera with 1/2.3″ Exmor RS sensor, 24mm wide lens, Predictive Hybrid AF speed of 0.03 second with Laser autofocus, PDAF, 5-axis stabilization and LED flash. It can shoot FHD video in 1080p at 30 frames per second. There is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with 1/3.06″ Exmor RS sensor, 22 mm wide-angle lens for selfie and video calling.

It also comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor on the side power key to unlock the device quickly. For music lovers, it supports Sony DSEE HX audio technology and has LDAC codec for natural sound experience. It also offers Digital Noise Cancelling feature.

The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and packs a 2700mAh battery with with STAMINA mode and supports Qnovo’s Adaptive Charging technology. On the connectivity front, includes 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.1, USB-C, and 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio with RDS options.
