Sony Xperia A4 with 4.6 inch display, 20.4MP camera and 2GB RAM Launched

The Sony Xperia A4 is a modest handset with display less than 5 inches, but it is coming with an impressive configuration to compete with leading big screen products. This is considered as a global version of the Xperia Z4 Compact.

Today, Sony has officially unveiled the Xperia A4 (SO-04G) smartphone for NTT Docomo in Japan.
This device is said to inherit the Xperia A2 line (SO-04F) has been released as a global version of the Xperia Z3 Compact last year.

The Sony Xperia A4 is coming out with a 4.6-inch Triluminos Display, a resolution of 1280×720 pixels, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 (MSM8974AC) SoC, 2.5 GHz quad-core processor and Adreno 330 graphics accelerator. The phone is packed with a 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory and supports external memory card slot to expand memory up to 128GB.

The Sony Xperia A4 out of the box preinstalled Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system. The system includes a 20.7-megapixel rear camera with Sony G lens aperture F/2.0 Sony Exmor RS sensor size 1 / 2.3 inches, Bionz, autofocus and the ability to record Full HD video; while the front camera of a 2.2-megapixel with 720p video recording similar to Xperia A2.

The thickness of the device is 9.1mm while its weight only 129 grams. Sony Xperia A4 also waterproof and dustproof, standard IP6X and IPX5.8 respectively. In addition, this device is also equipped with 2600mah battery with power-saving mode, which provides talk time up to 990 minutes and standby time up to 620 hours according to the Sony.

For connectivity, this Sony Xperia phones includes Wi-Fi 820.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Xi LTE, Bluetooth 4.0 c APT-X, GPS / GLONASS, MHL and NFC.

The Sony Xperia A4 will be sold in many various colors such as gray, pink, blue and white. It will land first in Japan in mid June, but Sony Xperia A4 price is still unclear. Maybe soon, we will see this product in the international market with the name of the Sony Xperia Z4 Compact.
