Sony announced the UBP-X800M2 4K Ultra-HD Blu-ray player. The new model has been presented at CES 2019, is substantially an improved version of the X800 was released back in 2017.
The design is now Sony’s classic, squared lines, rather compact dimensions and a shiny plastic strip that runs along the front side. The reading mechanics can play Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, SACD, DVD Audio, DVD and CD.
All major audio formats are supported, including Dolby Atmos and DTS: X. Compatibility with HDR embraces HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision, were absent on the previous version of X800. You can also play audio files in high resolution. To complete the endowment is the support for streaming services in Ultra HD such as Netflix and YouTube.
The Sony UBP-X800M2 4K Ultra-HD Blu-ray player is scheduled for the May this year. At the moment Sony is not providing any information on pricing.
