Sony starts to roll out Nougat update for Android TV

Sony has released a new Nougat update for Android TV in the United States. Japanese giant said that the Sony BRAVIA Televisions software update process to be customer friendly. The new firmware update version is PKG6.2414.0040NAA. In fact, is available for some models even listed on its official website as well.

This new Nougat update provides general performance improvements of the TV. Now the home screen animations seem smoother, and a multitasking option (by holding the home button), which allows you to switch and also close open apps. You can check out the supported models below:

Owners of other models should not feel being left, they will be updated soon. Sony has announced the full support for all Android TV, including 2015, 2016 and 2017 models. Some users on reddit have reported few minor problems after the Nougat update, but we hope it will be resolved soon.
