Sony has released the new Firmware 5.50 update dedicated to PlayStation 4 of which are introduced important news regarding parental controls and features of the PlayStation 4 Pro.
As we have been able to discover thanks to the beta firmware, in fact, the new PlayStation 4 update 5.50 brings system-wide supersampling across PS4 Pro consoles. So with it, you can use the power of PS4 Pro to apply the Supersampling Anti Aliasing on all games that have not received a patch to support Sony’s most powerful console. The function is present in the munù Settings -> Audio and Screen -> Video output settings -> Super sampling mode. Recall that this could cause a slight reduction of the frame rate on some titles and may effect vary from game to game.
As for parental controls, parents will have a more control on the console, you can now monitor your child’s total gameplay time per day, limit them to a specific amount and determine in which time slots and in which days of the week children can access the console. All these options can also be controlled remotely via the browser or the PlayStation app.
There is also the ability to delete notifications, you can now customize logos and backgrounds and much more. The update is already available to all users and has a weight of approximately 460MB. Recall that if you are participating in the beta program you will have to manually check the presence of the update to choose to install the stable 5.50 version.
