Sony released new firmware update for Sony A7, A7II, A7r, A7S and A6000 camera lines

There has been a new firmware update for the Sony camera: A7, A7II, A7r, A7S and A6000.

This update focuses improved performance, such as boot speed, image quality etc. The camera body with attached 4 FE lens recently announced that FE 24-240mm (SEL24240), FE 28mm F / 2 (SEL28F20), Zeiss 35 F / 1.4 and FE 90mm F / 2.8 Macro. Besides, this update also fixed the bug, the good WiFi connection. Details on updates and download links for each series are below:

Sony A6000 and A7S

Improved performance and image quality when shooting with the new lens (SEL35F14Z, SEL24240, SEL28F20, SEL90M28G)

Reduced startup time after downloading applications in Smart Remote Control PlayMemories Camera Apps.

Sony A7 and A7R

• Improved performance and image quality when shooting with the new lens (SEL35F14Z, SEL24240, SEL28F20, SEL90M28G)
• Reduced startup time after downloading applications in Smart Remote Control PlayMemories Camera Apps.

Add some features when used with 70-200mm FE lens:

• Supports “Fast Hybrid AF”
• Added “Focus hold button” feature
• Reduced startup time just in case the shutdown and restart
• Improve the image quality

Add a few new features in PlayMemories Camera Apps:

• Support for more applications such as “LiveView Grading” and “Smooth Reflection”
• Support smoother brightness in Timelapse 2.0 or later applications

Sony A7II

Add features and improve vibrations:

• Anti-vibration when pressing the half shutter button
• Improved Focus Magnifier
• Anti-shake when shooting video
• Stabilization of the many other features
