Sony has officially introduced a new Hi-Res Headphones called MDR-M1ST in Japan. The Sony MDR-M1ST is a Studio Monitor Headphones and it was jointly developed by Sony Home Entertainment & Sound Products with Sony Music Studio in about four and a half years.
Sony MDR-M1ST is handcrafted entirely by Sony’s skilled workers in Japan. It owns a 40mm neodymium driver developed exclusively by Sony, which delivers clearer and most realistic sound quality, while almost eliminating the distortion even when listening to high volume levels. It comes with a detachable cable which is removable for storage or replacement when needed, plus the silicon ring design at the base of the plug helps reduce noise when moving.
Sony MDR-M1ST has a new generation earcup, ear cushions made of synthetic leather, soft, smooth, cool, suitable for wearing for hours. The new headset has 24 Ω impedance and 103 dB sensitivity and 5Hz ~ 80kHz frequency range. The cable is 2.5m long with stereo plug. The weight of headphones is about 215g (not including wires), and it is expected to start receiving orders in the near future, priced at JPY 31,500 – approximately $292.
