Sony has added FE 50mm F2.8 Macro lens in its full-frame product range to support the E-mount cameras. New 50mm F2.8 Macro lens with FE, would help users to capture the sharp close-up shots of their subject at a minimum focus distance of 16cm with true 1:1 macro magnification. 
Before that Sony has introduced FE 90mm F2.8 Macro G lens is rated quite high on clarity when shooting, and now we have more compact and lightweight design choice in 50mm segment also at very affordable price. Additionally, the lens also sports a dust- and moisture-resistant design to benefit working in inclement weather conditions.
Sony FE 50mm F2.8 Macro lens design is quite compact and weighs only 236 grams, using 55mm filter thread. Additionally, its comprehensive range of controls including focus-mode switch, focus-range limiter and focus-hold button ensure an effortless shooting experience for a wide range of users. It offers a 6.3 inch minimum focusing distance and a wider field of view for capturing more background, compared to longer focal-length macro lenses.
It can also be used on APS-C models where it provides a 75mm equivalent focal length. One aspherical element and one extra-low dispersion glass element are incorporated into the optical design to reduce both spherical and chromatic aberrations for increased clarity and sharpness. Sony FE 50mm F2.8 Macro Lens price is about $498 and can be pre-ordered via BHPhoto store. The lens will be available in September of this year.
