The 11 blades diaphragm while the minimum focusing distance is 2.7 meters. Sony FE 400 mm F2.8 GM OSS lens integrates new XD (extreme dynamic) Linear Motors deliver higher thrust than conventional types. These components operate the focusing group and are managed by algorithms developed specifically to minimize delays, instability and to control noise levels.
The controls on the lens body are numerous and allow you to quickly switch to direct manual focus. Customizable buttons for focus mode and range are also available. The Optical image stabilization offers three modes, including an advanced algorithm that provides optimum stabilization for dynamic sports action while also making framing easier.
Sony FE 400 is equipped with a filter that can be replaced with others, such as the 40.5 mm diameter ND filters and the circular VF-DCPL1 filter. Finally, the objective is compatible with the 1.4x and 2.0x tele-converters, providing high-resolution and contrast even at 800 mm.
