Sony has released a new 64GB XQD G series memory card after the launch of the SF-M Tough series UHS-II SDXC memory card was introduced earlier this month. The Sony 64GB XQD G series memory card characterized by high robustness.
The G-series card is tested to withstand 5 m (16.4 foot) drops, which is five times higher than the XQD standard, and additional rigidity is tested to 50 newtons (about 5kg) of force, which is twice the XQD standard preventing the risk of flexing and bending caused during transport.
It is assumed that the card slot position will be difficult to see and that it will be repeatedly inserted and removed due to the difficulty of handling when wearing gloves. The read speed is 440 MB/s, the write speed is 400 MB/s, and “File Rescue” software available helps recover lost or damaged photos and videos.
