Sharp M1 with 5.5-inch FHD Display and 3GB RAM Unveiled

Sharp is not a very prominent name in the smartphone market, but it still regularly launches new smartphones, and recently they have announced the launch of new mid-range smartphone named Sharp M1. 

Coming to Sharp M1 specifications, the device features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution and it has a gorilla glass layer protection on top of it. As per design, we can see the glossy frame design of metal which is quite similar to Xiaomi Mi5. While the Mi5 comes equipped with a front fingerprint sensor located in Home button, whereas the M1 front has capacitive touch buttons instead of the physical home button.

This new Sharp smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz octa-core processor which supported by 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 chipset along with 3GB of RAM. It packs a 32GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 64GB.

On the camera front, the M1 flaunts a 13-megapixel primary autofocus camera with LED flash and has a same 13-megapixel front-facing camera with wide-angle lens to capture a wide group selfies and quality video calling.

The handset runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and packs a 2600mAh battery on board. It supports hybrid SIM slot with dual standby, For connectivity includes 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.1, microUSB 2.0 and 3.5 mm audio jack options.

Sharp M1 will hit at the store today on 15th August in Taiwan market and it will be available in White and Pink color options has been priced at 1990 Yuan – approximately $286 USD.

Last month, Sharp has announced Basio 2 smartphone which was specially designed for senior citizen when it comes with a standard physical buttons including Call, Home and E-mail. It features a 5-inch Sharp IGZO HD display; Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 (MSM8952) processor; 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 200GB.
