Sennheiser CX SPORT Bluetooth Sports Headphones With 6 Hours Battery Announced

Sennheiser has announced new sports in-ear headphones called Sennheiser CX SPORT at $130, aimed at people who are into sports, exercise, and other outdoor activities. This new Sennheiser sports headphones can be connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth 4.2 with Qualcomm apt-X support and be used while exercising, running etc.

In terms of comfort, the Sennheiser CX SPORT Bluetooth sports headphones come with soft silicon earhooks that wrap over the entire ear to ensure that the headphones stay in place, while its wing-tips come in three sizes to fit according to the user’s ear. Additionally, the ear tips also come in three different sizes to providing a comfortable fit in your ears.

The CX SPORT earphones feature ergonomic fins that keep the earbuds “comfortably secure.” The Bluetooth headphones come with a lightweight, splash- and sweat-resistant design. The company claims that the earphones are “splash resistant” and will not get damaged by sweat when users are engaged in physically strenuous activities. They come with a ‘made to move’ tagline suggesting they are meant for use when moving.

The Sennheiser CX SPORT Bluetooth headphones can be connected to your smartphone by long-pressing the Bluetooth icon on the controller you can also play/pause, change tracks as well as volume with the help poof the controller after the initial connection has been established. They can either be worn around the neck or in front, with a cable organizer that adjusts the cable length and an optional clip that can be used to fix the headphones on the workout shirt. This means that while the CX Sport is wireless, it is not a true wireless due to the dependency on a cable joining the two sides, along with the main three-button in-line remote for music and call control.

CX SPORT Bluetooth headphones are also equipped with a proprietary speaker system from the “audio specialist, delivering clear, detailed sound with an enhanced bass response.” They also come equipped with a neoprene carry pouch. The company claims that the CX SPORT has a 6 hours battery life that can be fast charged via USB in just 10 minutes to offer a further hour of playback, and fully charged in 1.5 hours.

Sennheiser’s CX SPORT Bluetooth sports headphones already listed on Amazon with a price tag of $129.95 in US and £119.99 in the UK and will be available worldwide from June.
