In addition to the AF 75mm F1.8 FE for Sony E mount, Samyang Optics has also introduced the AF 85mm F1.4 for Canon RF, a powerful telephoto lens for full-frame mirrorless cameras from the “Canon EOS R” series and their growing range of Canon RF lenses. New Samyang AF 85mm F1.4 RF opens up new options for Canon EOS R users.

Samyang AF 85mm F1.4 Telephoto Lens

The new AF 85mm F1.4 RF is now an autofocus telephoto lens with Canon RF Mount. This new lens is said to offer beautiful bokeh, excellent image quality, and reliable autofocus. Therefore, it is ideal for portraits and other bokeh where you occasionally want to design with a shallow depth of field. A shallow depth of field blurs the background softly and highlights the importance of the subject.

A weatherproof seal protects the lens from dust, light rain and snow and offers the possibility to take pictures even under imperfect conditions.

The new Samyang AF 85mm F1.4 Canon RF lenses also make no compromises when it comes to image quality: a total of 11 elements in 8 groups, with 4 high-index (HR) optics and a lens with extra-low dispersion (ED), were developed in order to achieve impressive image quality across the entire image area produce. Nine aperture blades create a natural, circular bokeh with a fantastic blur effect that is pleasing to the eye.

The Ultrasonic Dual Linear motor works with ultrasonic vibrations and thus offers low-noise autofocus, which should not only be appreciated by videographers. The AF / MF switch on the side allows the user to quickly change the type of focus, as required.
