With The Terrace, Samsung has introduced its first outdoor televisions weatherproof 4K QLED series, which is waterproof and is ideal for outdoor use. There is also a soundbar with a design that perfectly matches the outdoor TV.
The lifestyle TV portfolio from Samsung already offers some interesting options, from the vertical The Sero TV (priced at $1,997.99 on Bhphotovideo), where you can optimally mirror your Instagram feed, to impressive The Serif (priced at $997.99 on Bhphotovideo and Amazon) to the popular The Frame (priced at $997.99 on Bhphotovideo and Amazon) looks like a picture frame. In a press release, Samsung announced the latest addition, called The Terrace.
It is a 55, 65, or 75 inches 4K QLED outdoor TVs weatherproof body, which has been certified to IP55 and therefore is supposed to be protected against dust and water. In order to be able to provide a good outdoor picture quality even during the day, The Terrace achieves an impressive maximum brightness of 2,000 nits in conjunction with an anti-reflection layer.
Due to the weatherproof housing, the waterproof TV is a bit thicker than most modern models, but almost 6 centimeters should cut a good figure on almost every wall. Like most Samsung TVs, The Terrace uses Tizen as an operating system, so content can be streamed directly from the most popular streaming services.
Samsung also offers a weatherproof soundbar with the right look for this best outdoor TV, and according to the manufacturer, it should offer high-quality sound, deep, and clear bass. Thanks to integrated WLAN and Bluetooth, music can also be played from sources other than the television. The soundbar can either be mounted on the wall or directly on the TV. Both products are expected to be available in August, Samsung has not yet announced the prices.
