Samsung QLED TV has now been spotted in its first official TV advertisement, which teases almost all the features that have been seen regarding the Samsung QLED TV 2017 models. The advertisement touches upon features of the QLED TV by giving hints regarding each.
First and foremost, there is little to no doubt the heart of Samsung’s new QLED TVs are ‘Quantum Dots’, which are nano-sized particles that turn light into color. This new technology allows for darker blacks, and brighter whites, with the TVs capable of hitting brightness levels between 1500 and 2000 nits. What’s more, the Samsung QLED TVs support 100 percent color volume, which, simply put, means they are capable of reproducing accurate colors even at very low or very high brightness levels.
Stephane Cotte, Vice President of Consumer Electronics, Samsung Electronics France, said: “Quantum Dot is the best technology to delivery HDR images,” Samsung’s range of QLED TVs and its 2017 UHD lineup come with support for HDR 10 Plus, which features dynamic tone mapping for improved viewing experience. The QLED TVs also promise consistent colors irrespective of the viewing angle.
While we’ve seen Quantum Dot technology in the past in some Samsung LED-backlit LCD TVs, the South Korean company is claiming improved stability and efficiency in the technology with its new range of QLED TVs. Samsung believes QLED “addresses long term question marks” regarding the future of display technology.

One of the main changes introduced by the new Samsung TV regards the ‘viewing angle’. Create LCD TV that can be viewed from decentralized locations is always a tough task. The problem is particularly present on the VA-type panels, those used by Samsung on high-end products because of the advantages in the reproduction of black and therefore also in terms of contrast.
This year, Samsung introduced new design elements that can fit into any home – regardless of the interior aesthetics or setup. The changes made by Samsung start from all new “Invisible Connection” cable that connects the TV and the external box that contains the electronics and connectors. The fiber optic cable is 1.8 mm thick and is transparent. Therefore, it is very easy to conceal from your view-site and helps to keep the installation neat and clean.
