Samsung Galaxy A9 has been officially launched in China, was teased few days ago and it is said to be updated variant with improved performance and high-end specifications to the Galaxy A8 was launched back in May 2015. The Galaxy A9 is available in Black with Gold Frame, Rose Gold, and White color variants and listed on the Samsung’s official Chinese website as Galaxy A9 (2016), going to be first Samsung Galaxy 2016 phone. There is no information on the pricing yet.
The Samsung Galaxy A9 features a big 6.0-inch Super Amoled display with full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels that can count to be rated a pixel density of 367ppi along with 2.5D arc glass design and also protect by Corning Gorilla Glass. The phablet is powered by all new octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset clocked at 1.8 GHz processor along with Adreno 510 GPU. It packs a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 128GB with the help of microSD card.
The Galaxy A9 houses a 13-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with S5K3L2 sensor, f/1.9 aperture, optical image stabilisation (OIS) and dual tone LED flash. While the front has an 8-megapixel wide angle camera with f/1.9 aperture and various camera features such as wide selfie mode, self-portrait mode, palm selfie mode and much more for better selfies.
The handset runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI interface on top out of the box. It packs a 4000mAh battery that also supports fast charging Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 technology. The device comes with a fingerprint sensor located in the Home button which also control Camera by double tapping. It also enables the authentication of lock screen, apps and Samsung Pay payments.
The Samsung Galaxy A9 2016 sports a Dual SIM functionality and for connectivity 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (Dual Band), GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.1, ANT+, NFC and MicroUSB 2.0 connectivity options. The body is 7.4 mm thick and weighs 200 grams.
