Samsung has introduced the new high capacity memory card – EVO Plus 256GB microSD card for a global market. Surely with this amount of memory capacity Samsung will target 4K videos, the 360 degrees camera devices and of course high storage needs.
With this new Samsung EVO Plus 256GB microSD card you can save more than 7 hours of UHD 4K videos at 30fps (60Mbps) or 12 hours of standard phone 4K videos and 33 hours of Full HD videos. This new 256GB microSD card raises the bar for capacity and performance of microSD cards thanks to Samsung’s advanced V-NAND technology ever used on high-end SSD models, this technology consists of many large transistor, but does not affect the density of transistors, offering high read and write speeds of up to 95MB/s and 90MB/s, respectively, equivalent to the Pro Plus 128GB. It also has standard IPX7 certification, good tolerance to temperature, X-rays and magnetic.
Samsung EVO Plus 256GB microSD card has been priced at $249.99 USD, selling will start in June 2016, $150 more than the current price of the Pro Plus 128GB cards. Samsung will offer limited 10-year warranty in more than 50 countries, including the USA, Europe, China, and other regions.
