Samsung Galaxy Tab Active2 Price and Availability Revealed

Samsung had unveiled a new rugged tablet last year – Galaxy Tab Active2. While Samsung announced the specifications and features of the latest rugged tablet, the price and availability details were not revealed. But now, Samsung is all set to sell the tablet in the US. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active2 has been priced at $419.99 for 16GB storage WiFi model.

Amazon has already listed the rugged tablet on its online store. It is built for businesses and professionals. The tablet device comes with the ruggedized body and also supports S-pen.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active2 is dust and water-resistant with IP68 certification and comes with an anti-shock covering, which according to Samsung can withstand a 1.2-meter drop with the protective cover on. This new Samsung rugged tablet also has a military-standard MIL-STD-810 certification, which means that it is strong enough to survive extreme pressures, temperatures, climates, shocks, and traps.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active2 features an 8-inch WXGA (1280×800 pixels) TFT LCD display. It packs a 1.6GHz quad-core Exynos 7880 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. Samsung has also included ‘S-Pen’ stylus at the top of the protective Galaxy Tab Active cover, which the company claims will provide professionals an alternative input option to fingers.

The tablet boasts of an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The 16GB built-in storage on Galaxy Tab Active can be expanded via microSD card. The rugged tablet runs on Android 7.1 Nougat OS and comes with Knox 2.8 security.

The device also supports Bixby and connectivity options on the Galaxy Tab Active2 include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, GPS, Glonass, 3G, 4G LTE, USB 2.0 Type C and Pogo pin options. The battery should be identical to its predecessor, a 4450mAh removable and can charge connected devices. For sensors, we have Accelerometer, Fingerprint Sensor, Gyro Sensor, Geomagnetic Sensor, Hall Sensor, Proximity Sensor, and RGB Light Sensor.
