Samsung Galaxy On5 India goes Official for Rs 8,990

It was only on Tuesday that Samsung India announced the release of Galaxy On7 smartphone in its new Galaxy On lineup. It was also claimed that another model in the series carrying a 5.0-inch screen named Samsung Galaxy On5 and also listed exclusively on e-commerce Flipkart for Rs 8,990.

The Galaxy On5 flaunts a 5.0-inch TFT display boasting HD resolution of 720×1280 pixels. The handset comes equipped with a 1.3 GHz Quad-core processor that’s supported by Exynos 3475 chipset along with ARM Mali-T720 MP1 GPU can be deliver a faster performance. It packs a 1.5GB RAM and 8GB of native storage space can be expanded up to 128GB with the help of microSD card.

The Samsung Galaxy On5 comes with a decent an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front snapper. The rear camera also features FHD 1080p video recording that is decent enough for this price range. It packs a 2600mAh battery capacity that can provide a backup of 15 hours of talk time on 3G networks.

The handset runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with TouchWiz UI which has better responsiveness. On connectivity front, include 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth, MicroUSB and dual SIM functionality.
