Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime and Galaxy J7 Prime with 4G LTE Launched

Samsung India unveiled two new 4G LTE smartphones, the Galaxy J5 Prime and Galaxy J7 Prime, in India. The latest Samsung J-Series smartphones for budget segment. The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime price in India is set to Rs. 18,790 – approximately $280 USD and is officially available for purchase from Amazon India store, while the Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime price in India is about Rs. 14,790 – approximately $220 USD and will go on sale end of this month in the Indian market. Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime features a 5.5-inch IPS display with Full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution that is rated to deliver a pixel density of 401ppi. The screen is also protected by a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The device is powered by a 1.6GHz Octa-core processor that is backed by Exynos 7 7870 14nm chipset paired with Mali-T830 GPU. It packs 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that’s expandable up to 256GB with the help of microSD card slot, which almost doubled when compared to Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 (128GB).

On the camera front, it comes with a 13-megapixel primary autofocus camera with f/1.9 aperture, LED flash and also able to record Full-HD (1080p) video at 30fps. There is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/1.9 aperture for better selfies and video calling. With these specifications, J7 Prime is quite similar to the Galaxy A5 2016 model but with a slightly bigger screen.

The device runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and also supports Fingerprint Sensor which placed in to front Home button. It packs in 3300mAh battery under the hood and support Dual SIM with 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.1, microUSB 2.0 and 3.5mm audio jack as connectivity options.

Coming to Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime, it features a 5-inch IPS display; powered by a quad-core Exynos CPU; 2GB of RAM; a 5-megapixel front facing camera and packs in 2,400mAh battery under the hood. All the other specs are same as the J7 Prime. Both the devices also features S Power Planning (a reserve battery technology for when the battery is running low) and S Secure (allowing users to lock/ hide apps, and more).
