Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime 4G with Android 5.1 OS Launched in India

Samsung India, officially launched the Galaxy Grand Prime 4G smartphone in India. The phone boasts of a latest 4G LTE connectivity and carries an attractive price tag of Rs 11,100 – approximately $173. The device will be available for purchase from all retailers, offline and online store in the next month.

Most of specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime 4G is identical to the earlier launched 3G version except 4G LTE network and latest Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. It features a 5.0 inch PLS TFT display and qHD resolution of 540×960 pixels.

Fortunately, the Samsung Grand Prime 4G LTE is now upgraded to the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, instead of Android 4.4 KitKat. The phone supports Dual-SIM functionality and battery capacity of a 2600mAh which can deliver up to 14 hours of talk time.

The Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime 4G is powered by a 1.2GHz Quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM to take charge of multi-tasking, while chipset and GPU details are still unknown. The internal storage is 8GB, which is average same as the previous version, but this can be expanded up to 64GB with the help of a micro SD card slot.

Samsung has provided the Galaxy Grand Prime 4G with an 8-megapixel rear with LED flash, while the front-facing 5-megapixel camera is also pretty good for video calling and capture wonderful selfies. The dimensions of the handset is 144.8×72.1×8.6mm, weighs 156 grams and it will be available in Gold, Grey and White color options.
