After leaked in various promotional images and videos, the Samsung Galaxy A90 5G (SM-A905G) has been officially launched in Korea. It is a company’s first 5G phone in the “A series” comes with a 6.7-inch Infinity-U display, up to 8GB RAM, Triple Rear Cameras, In-display fingerprint sensor and Qualcomm’s X50 modem for 5G connectivity.
Price and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy A90 5G price in Korea has been set at 899,800 won – approximately $741 and will roll out from September 4 in Korea and will expand to additional markets thereafter. The device comes in Black and White color options.
Samsung Galaxy A90 5G Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy A90 5G features a 6.7-inch Infinity-U Super AMOLED display with FHD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) resolution. It is powered by a 2.84 GHz octa-core processor which supported by Snapdragon 855 7nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 640 GPU. It packs a 6GB / 8GB RAM, 128GB Storage, expandable memory with microSD (Up to 512GB / 6GB RAM version only).
On the camera front, the Galaxy A90 5G bears a 48-megapixel primary rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, LED flash along with an 8-megapixel 123° ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and a 5-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture. The camera features AI capabilities such as Super Steady, Scene Optimizer and Flaw Detector. For selfie, there is a 32-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and Live Focus Mode.
The Samsung Galaxy A90 5G has a unique geometric pattern on the backglass and an in-display fingerprint scanner. This is the first in the Galaxy A Series with Samsung DeX to expand the experience to PC screen or TV, and the Microsoft Your Phone app lets you mirror your phone display onto your desktop to check notifications, send and receive messages, and browse through recent photos.
The handset runs on Android 9.0 Pie -based on Samsung One UI out of the box. It packs a 4500mAh battery with 25W super-fast charging capabilities. For connectivity includes 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C. The device measures 164.8 x 76.4 x 8.4 mm and weighs 206 grams.
