Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro has been officially launched in India on Friday, it was unveiled back in March 2016 in China for 3499 Yuan – approximately $540 USD. Now the 6.0-inch phablet with 5000mAh battery is official in India. Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro price in India is set to Rs 32,490 and is available in Gold, Black and White color options, and starting sale from September 26, 2016.
The handset features a 6.0-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution that is rated to deliver a pixel density of 367ppi. There is a 2.5D curved glass layer along with Corning Gorillas Glass 4 protection on top of it. It has a very narrow bezel of 2.7 mm and comes with the premium metal and glass design similar to other Galaxy flagship devices.
It is powered by a 1.8 GHz octa-core processor that is fueled by Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset paired with Adreno 510 GPU. It has 4GB of RAM and comes with 32GB of native storage space, which can be further expanded up to 256GB with the help of microSD card.
On the camera front, the Galaxy A9 Pro flaunts a 16-megapixel primary autofocus camera with Optical Image stabilization (OIS), f/1.9 aperture and LED flash. There is a 8-megapixel front-facing camera with wide f/1.9 aperture to capture wide group selfies and video calling. It has a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button that supports Samsung Pay as well.
The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS along with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top out of the box and packs in a giant 5000mAh battery with fast charging support, that charges the battery from 0 to 100% in just 160 minutes and a quick charge of 30 minutes will give up to 32% charge. It can deliver up to 22.5 days of standby time, up to 32.5 hours of talk time and up to 26 hours of video playback time, according to the company.
On the connectivity front, the handset includes dual SIM 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.1, ANT+, NFC, 3.5 mm audio jack and FM radio options.
