Samsung announced two new Chromebooks with a very nice and modern design. The Chromebook 4 uses a compact 11.6-inch HD LED screen with 1366×768 pixels resolution, and the Chromebook 4+ uses a 15.6-inch (LED) Full-HD anti-glare screen. Samsung expands its Chromebook computer catalog with two new models and trying to offer the right compromise between design, performance, and price.
Both Chromebook using 1.1GHz Intel Celeron N4000 processor with integrated Intel UHD 600 graphics, 4GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage option. Both are also about 16mm thin. Both have 720p camera, 1.5-watt stereo speakers, audio in/out jack and microSD player.
In terms of battery life, Samsung says the Chromebook 4 can last up to 12.5 hours on a charge while the Chromebook 4+ is 10.5 hours. Both use USB-C ports for both data transfer and charging. It still has the traditional USB 3.0 port, microSD card slot, 3.5mm headphone jack, WiFi AC and Bluetooth 4.0. Samsung said it can withstand shock, heat shock, anti-freeze, dust, and can operate at low pressure according to MIL-STD-810G military standards.
The Samsung Chromebook 4 price starts at $229, while the Chromebook 4+ starts at $299.99.
