Samsung has announced the new Galaxy Home smart speaker equipped with the Bixby voice assistant and with all the features that allow it to integrate into the SmartThings ecosystem. Samsung Galaxy Home will be officially presented during the next Samsung Developer Conference, however, Samsung took the opportunity to unveil some details around its next product.
The speaker has a large, rounded body and sits on a tripod. The company also announced a partnership with Spotify, which is the default music player for the Galaxy Home. The speaker will be able to pick up streams from a Galaxy phone and hand it off to the speaker.
Galaxy Home packs 6 powerful speakers and 8 microphones, it is designed to offer a high-quality music experience and all the potential power of Bixby, thanks to the ability to recognize the user’s voice even when it is not near of the device. Samsung revealed that it was using 160 Galaxy Home speakers for the audio of its Thursday presentation. However, we should wait a few more months to find out all the details related to this new product.
