Sabrent Rocket Q4 4TB NVMe PCIe SSD with 4.0 Interface

Sabrent, which launched the world’s first 8TB M.2 SSD with NVMe back in May, is introducing another record-breaking new product. It is a 4TB Sabrent Rocket Q4 NVMe PCIe SSD with a 4.0 interface.

The drive demonstrates read speeds up to 4900 MB/s and write speeds up to 3500 MB/s. Of course, such performance is achieved when installed in a PCIe Gen 4 slot. When installed in a PCIe 3.0 slot, the maximum speed is 3300 MB/s.

The manufacturer does not say which controller is used in the drive. As for the type of flash memory, it is QLC NAND, which supports to offer speeds of up to 4,900 MB/s while the controller also plays a crucial role in the supported speed of the drive.

The Sabrent SSD supports APST, ASPM, and L1.2 power management features, as well as SMART and TRIM, commands. This new internal SSD implements algorithms for Advanced Wear Leveling, Bad Block Management, and Over-Provision, which are all designed to extend the lifespan of this drive.

Sabrent Rocket Q4 NVMe PCIe SSD 4TB has been priced at $769.99 and it can be purchased via the Amazon.com online store. A regular or other heatsink is required when installing an SSD in a PCIe 4.0 slot, as it prevents forced performance degradation due to overheating.
