Render: LG V30 will have a 6-inch P-OLED QHD display with Curved edges

The web has made a new image render of the LG V30 smartphone, as you can see the device was placed between a LG G6 (left) and a Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus (right) so you have an idea of the possible dimensions. However, this is an unofficial render, although well-made – the wallpaper is in fact of the old iPhone and will hardly be an LG official.

If the size is confirmed, we will have one of the most compact phablets ever made, despite the 6-inch OLED display, the size does not look much different from G6, with even sharper frames on all sides. Still narrower than the Samsung Galaxy S8.

LG V30 smartphone will switch to OLED with a QHD+ (1440 x 2880 pixels) resolution confirmed by LG recently. The company mentioned the plastic OLED aka P-OLED display technology on V30 will allow for curved edges on the sides. And the P-OLED display means more battery life.

The LG V30 display also will come with the 18:9 FullVision aspect ratio, similar to G6, and the LG says it will cover 109% of the DCI-P3 color space and support HDR10 as well. The company also mentioned that the upper and lower bezels have been reduced by 20 to 50 percent, and the brand logo has also been moved to the back panel.

LG also ditched the secondary display on the V30, in support of a new ‘floating bar’. It essentially will provide quick access to notifications, shortcuts, and other things. The LG V30 may also come with the military standard protection, IP68 water resistance, better cooling management and,  Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It will also compatible with the Daydream and will have a camera with an f/1.6 aperture, Crystal Clear Glass Lens, improved transmittance, and for sound department with improved audio quality.
