Refreshed: Gigabyte Brix with Kaby Lake processors Announced

Recently, Gigabyte upgraded its mini PCs line up with Intel’s latest Core processors featuring the optimized Kaby Lake microarchitecture. If you don’t want or need a full-sized Kaby Lake Desktop PC but still need more than a Kaby Lake Laptop can deliver, a new Gigabyte Brix with Kaby Lake processor might just be perfect for you.

New systems are now supporting DDR4-2133 memory, M.2-2280 NVMe SSDs, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, USB Type-C connectors, Intel NICs, and HDMI 2.0 outputs. New Brix PCs design remained same as palm-sized black box, but now supports Intel’s 7th generation Kaby Lake Specs including Gigabyte Brix i7 -7500U, i5-7200U, i3-7100U, Intel’s HD Graphics 620 GPU, 2 x DDR4-2133 SO-DIMMs RAM, (expansion up to 32 GB), SSD up to M.2-2280 SSDs, HDD 2.5″/9.5 mm, 4K (4096 x 2160 pixels at 60 Hz) resolution, Intel 3168 1×1 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, along with high-end Kaby Lake Performance, Gigabyte also adds much needed connectors including USB 3.1 (10 Gbps) via ASMedia ASM1142, 1 x USB 3.1 Type-C, 1 x USB 3.1 Type-A, 2 x USB 3.0 Type-A, 1 x HDMI 2.0 (HDCP2.2) via LSPCon, 1 x DisplayPort 1.2, and Realtek ALC255 audio chip.

As per source, GIGABYTE has not announced specific prices or release dates of the new BRIX systems.
