Xiaomi has finally unveiled the Redmi Note 3 in National Convention Center, Beijing, China. It is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 that was dubbed as Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro from the beginning. The handset will be available in two versions such as 2GB RAM and 16GB of native storage variant priced at CNY 899 – approximately $140 or Rs. 9,500 and another with 3GB of RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage at CNY 1,099 – approximately $172 or Rs. 11,500.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 have an all metal body alongside a fingerprint sensor and company focused on its metallic body that also touted as the “first Mi phone” to sport a full metal body. However, as of now, there is no official word from the maker on a release date and cost in India.
The handset features a 5.5-inch fully-laminated display with Full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels that can also rated to translate a pixel density of 401ppi. The company also touted to be a Sunlight display that can convey bright and sharp images in heavy sunlight. It is powered by a 2.0 GHz Octa-core processor that backed by a MediaTek MT6795 Helio X10 64-bit SoC along with PowerVR G6200 GPU. As mentioned above it packs a 2GB/3GB of RAM along with 16GB/32 GB of native storage without any microSD card slot support.
The Redmi Note 3 bears a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF – Phase Detection Auto Focus, dual tone LED flash and f/2.2 aperture to capture sharp images. While front panel has a 5-megapixel selfie shooter for wide self portraits and video chatting. The back panel additionally has a fingerprint sensor that can unlock the device in just 0.3 seconds.
The Note 3 run Android 5.1 Lollipop-based latest MiUi 7 OS with dual SIM feature with dual standby and packs a whopping 4000mAh battery with fast charging technology that can charge up to 50 percent in 1 hour under the hood.
The handset measures 149.9 x 75.9 x 8.65 mm and weighs 164 grams. While on the connectivity front, includes 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.0 and MicroUSB 2.0 with OTG options. The device is available in Gold, Silver and Grey color options.
