The latest Razer keyboards dispense with 40 percent of the keys found in the regular Huntsman – but the new Huntsman Mini Gaming Keyboard is significantly more compact so that a lot of space can be saved both on the desk and in the backpack.
60 percent of keyboards have become increasingly popular over the past few years, and finally, large accessories manufacturers such as Razer are taking notice of them. The Razer Huntsman Mini is aimed primarily at gamers who do not need any additional buttons and would rather use more space on the desk for the mouse.
The function keys are still accessible as a secondary function, the respective function is printed on the side of the keys, other functions and macros can be freely assigned using the associated Razer Synapse 3 software, up to five profiles can be saved on the Keyboard for gaming. Razer Optical switches are used under the PBT keycaps, either Clicky or Linear, in any case, they should survive 100 million triggers.
The small gaming keyboard itself is made of aluminum, each key has its own RGB lighting, Razer keyboard lighting can be synchronized with other accessories via Razer Chroma. The connection to the PC is made via a USB-C cable, which can also be replaced if required.
Pricing and availability
The Razer Huntsman Mini Gaming Keyboard with the Clicky Optical switches is now available for $119.99, the model in Classic Black is already listed on Amazon.com and Bestbuy.com online shops. The variant with the linear switches follows in August, but it will be a little more expensive.
Apart from this gamer keyboard, Razer has also introduced a smaller version of the DeathAdder V2 gaming mouse: Razer DeathAdder V2 Mini and follows the original model along the contours, priced at $49.99.
